Jones provides an image of the Afghan forces being trained that looks like a hopeless cause.

In Vietnam, did we not prop up a corrupt puppet government and alienate most of the population? What is the exit strategy for getting out of a losing illegal invasion and occupation?

Brilliant piece not to be missed.

Those perceptive enough to ask why is the US taking the lead in Afghanistan, will see strong reasons for the mistake suc a course constitutes, in this excellent article. The US has no business whatever waging a multi-year war in a Muslim country.
