This opinion piece has modest jpournalistic merit. The author seems unfamiliar with the Republican Party, as he only names persons who are known in the left-wing circles his paper consistently supports. Where, for example are two persons widely mentioned for the VP position, senator Hutchison and Governor Palin? And there is no assessment of the Democrats, whose choices are far more limited due to their major governors having been removed for corruption or incompetence (California, New Jersey, New York, and soon Illinois).
