Good work by the Guardian in uncovering the World Bank report on this critical topic. However, seeing that the Guardian has obtained a copy of this unpublished report, I would really have liked to see more details in addition to the topline finding. The story also lacks some of the broader context around biofuels, including the differences between different types and the pressures which led to the focus on promoting ethanol from food crops rather than developing other potential paths such as cellulosic ethanol.
