This opinion piece has minimal journalistic merit. The author should have read about American history before writing the piece. He is ignorant about the situation in every previous wartime period in American history. Censorship and interception of communications was the norm during World Wars I and II, far more than today. The piece is a typical far-right isolationist diatribe.
