O's got a TV eye on you

With his decision to forgo public funding, Barack Obama can raise as much as he wants, giving him a huge financial advantage in the fall campaign. If he spends that cash on organization, registration, and get-out-the-vote efforts, he will absolutely get his money's worth. This is a right on article that clearly addresses the mythology about TV advertising in presidential politics. It would be fun to find a survey or study organization that would track the number, if any, of people who actually watch a TV ad and say, "that's it, I am voting for that person for president because of the ad I saw on TV". This nation is so past that, TV ads are like white noise, they exist, but who notices?
