Bill Moyers is an esteemed source who recounts the history of the Bush/Cheney administration's denial of the importance of oil in fraudulently propelling us into an illegal, unprovoked war of choice to gain another nation's resources. He might have added that the secondary purpose was to privatize the Military/Defense Industry. I wonder if they might be sued for collusion, fraud or racketeering under RICO statutes.

Bill Moyers and Michael Winship have figured it out. The bottom line is the bottom line, they say. Iraq was not about defense, nor democracy, nor morality. Following the money revealed a less attractive truth. It was about oil, after all. The energy industry has conducted US foreign policy for years and their investment has turned out well -- for them.

Odd how these straight forward stories about lies and greed that have led to so many deaths, waited till the END of the Bush administration to find the light of day. What a shame! Anyone still believe that 'crime doesn't pay'?

I think one of the critical points in this article is not only the content but the author - Bill Moyers. Mr. Moyers is renown for getting his facts straight and presenting open and honest content - no matter the topic. I remember when America first invaded Iraq, then Chief Warmonger and Soon-to-be-war criminal Donnie Rumsfield mentioned that the name of the operation was Operation Iraqi Liberation. One of his military minders pointed out what the acronym spelled (O.I.L.) and the moniker was quickly changed to Operation Iraqi Freedom OIF - kind of the sound that is made when you make a big blunder!
