Faithful give other religions benefit of doubt

Many also question God's existence

America remains a nation of believers, but a new survey finds most Americans don't feel their religion is the only way to eternal life -- even if their faith tradition teaches otherwise.

The findings, revealed Monday in a survey of 35,000 adults, can either be taken as a positive sign of growing religious tolerance, or evidence that Americans dismiss or don't know the fundamental teachings of their own faiths. Full Story »

The article presents an interesting study. Learning that one in four christians don't believe in the existance of god, I now have more faith in religion. Religion can be a good thing, as long as nobody believes it enough to start killing about it. I am a little slowed by 21 percent of atheists believing in god. Perhaps that is because there are no catechism classes for atheists.
