Clean narrative and responsible reporting—to be expected in a piece like this. The fact that the Times didn't hesitate to mention itself as a stakeholder gives the story a level of transparency that makes it a more trustworthy read. Some more background on the AEY company would have been helpful, otherwise very informative.

This is journalism at its best. The attempts to get the State Departments side of the events was met with the typical stonewalling so emblematic of this administration.

Another good journalism aricle from the Times about another issue of our government. Is it any wonder that current polls over 80 per cent of our nation think we are moving in the wrong direction.

It's a fine piece that reveals malfeasance in State Dept., and a possible illegal international arms deal sanctioned by our officials. It is no wonder that our representatives are seen as agents of CIA in plots against the good of the world. That the company was rewarded with a new contract is an added insult to ethics.
