Calif. firefighters wrestle with hundreds of blazes

Lightning sparked more than 500 fires that burned around Northern California on Sunday as firefighters struggled with rough terrain and rising temperatures to keep the blazes from growing.
A fast-spreading blaze miles from the heart of wine country surged overnight to scorch 5.5 square miles of grassy woodland by early Sunday, forcing residents of more than 60 homes to flee.
