Excellent job helping to debunk the talking point that we need to offshore oil drill to get the gas prices down. It has been interesting to see how quickly people jumped on the bandwagon that offshore oil drilling would reduce gas prices without a thought about impacts to the environment, reasons behind the skyrocketing prices which are not related to supply and demand, and the amount of time required to get a drop of oil from these new leases. The lack of action on the expiration of the tax credits for renewable energy should be the bigger story than drilling for more oil.
