Numerous media outlets have reported all or part of Sen. John McCain's statement rebuking Sen. Barack Obama for his decision to forgo public financing in the general election without mentioning that during the primary, McCain signed a loan that could have forced him to remain in the race -- even if he had no chance of winning -- in order to be eligible for public matching funds to repay the loan. A penetrating, well researched, widely quoting article that rips away the non-stop pro-McCain propragandizizng that has become standard corporate media policy since McCain became the default special interests presidential candidate. What Americans really deserve from the "Liberally biased media" is nothing more than a level planying field. But as Media Matters for America notes, there is: "a pattern of media portrayals of any news, even seemingly negative, as good news for the Republicans." We need more coverage like this.
