This opinion piece has modest journalistic merit. The author seeks out those whose views oppose those of Sen McCain, with only one paragraph at the end "In fairness …" devoted to supporting McCain. The author ignores the fact that much of the price rise on oil is due to speculation, and that a commitment to moving forward on developing new oil resources in North America will decrease the interest of speculators.
