There's so much wrong with Whelan's argument it's hard to know where to begin. He begins with the VERY tall, unsourced, assumption that Americans are as disdainful of Supreme Court decisions as he is. The only polls I've seen have been pretty evenly split on the Court's recent habeas corpus decision. Whelan cite's Stuart Taylor, without telling us who he is, but giving the impression he's God. Taylor's quote is a classic straw-man argument.
