First the story documents how politicians, mostly Democrats, got special deals from failed Countrywide Mortgage, including Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn) -- who expressed ignorance at getting special rates! VIP -- Friends of Mozilo (CEO). Last month Dodd "defended a $400 billion plan that would bail out the subprime lending industry — including Mozilo." Second, the story notes how the Press is keeping quiet about it.
