The story sums up the hearing which I saw on C-SPAN and the documentary by T.R. Reid. I linked to the latter below, to the recent Senate hearing son healthcare and to an interview transcript at the WaPo with Reid who looks at a variety of countries, notably Switzerland, which has kept its private insurers but mandated that they insure everyone and make no profit on basic services, only for add-ons. One questioned asked was how the media can educated the public about the facts v.s. the spin. (I guess I missed this because I don't watch TV much and it was aired on April 15, when many of us are thinking more about taxes.)
