This opinion piece by arch conservative Peter Schweizer who makes a living writing books that promote counter-intuitive arguments similar to the one in this column, is not good journalism. Taking a position and then choosing data and analyzing it in a way as to seemingly confirm your position is the ultimate slight of hand, but it does little to inform and enlighten. He makes a statement early on in the piece: "There is plenty of data that shows that Right-wingers are happier, more generous to charities, less likely to commit suicide - and even hug their children more than those on the Left" and then cleverly never provides one reference to where this particular data can be found! This is good right wing propaganda - but journalism? Not so much.
