Was this really a 'terrorist fist jab'? The right says so

Millions of people saw Mrs Obama daintily bump fists with her husband last week just before he claimed the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination at a rally in St Paul, Minnesota. More common on the sports field, the gesture was decried as "Hizbollah hand jabbing" on the Human Events blog. On Fox News, the host asked, in all seriousness, if it was, "a terrorist fist jab?". These claims by Fox News would be uproariously funny if it weren’t for the fact that there actually are people who want to believe this drivel. Yaah -- it is quite sobering to realize that people can be so rude & find succor in the telling of lies. And, while they doing so, they are truly lusting to be remembered for the hatred, bigotry, intolerance & the instability of their putrid souls. Yes folks, Fox News is a trash heap of network megalomania and a veritable font of media shame.

Article points out that the attack is not just on the fist jab but the relentless attack on Michelle Obama and the effort that is underway to smear the Obamas. The article includes info on website that has been set up to portray them as Muslim and elitist. So far Obama has done a good job handling the attacks and it will be interested to see how it progresses. The attacks will increase as the election progresses. It will be interesting to see if MSM repeats the attacks or tries to correct them.

Sigh! I suppose we have five more months of this to look forward to. The private Catholic school Obama attended as a child in Indonesia was really a secret madrassa. He decided to forgo a flag pin in his jacket lapel because he hates America. And a playful gesture marks he and his wife as members of a secret terror cell. Our economy is in the tank. We're mired in two endless wars. Our civil rights are being eroded daily. And global warming is drowning our farm belt. But this is more important? You betcha!

Aimed as it is at British readers, the article does a fair job or reporting on one of Fox's many biased comments against Obama. The story drifts off from its main point--Fox's bias--into a side show about Michelle Obama.

Well written and researched article. It clearly shows how the rabid right can be relied upon to careen between less-than-subtle racist and fear-mongering subtexts, and outright stupidity when given the slightest excuse. Michelle's remark was right on target and not unpatriotic: You love your children (country) but are not always proud of what they do. And she is, gasp, black and an uppity one at that. The shock, the horror. ! Who can possibly be proud of the "America" as played by Bush and Co. over the past eight years? (This comment was posted incorrectly to another article).

Wow! In the Black community there are various ways of showing affection.....this was a very loving one! A "terrorist fist jab"? Give me a break! Unfortunately, most conservatives aren't familiar with many political couples who genuinely love one another. And is Michelle Malkin a real person or is she a clone? How can one person be so angry and boorish? She's actually worst than Ann Coulter, if that's possible. The GOP really doesn't have anything to go after Obama with and they are so desperate that they will go after Obama's pastor, church, family, etc. The author of this piece is preparing us for the onslaught.
