McCain and the International Republican Institute

Though Arizona Senator John McCain seldom talks about it, he has gotten much of his foreign policy experience working with a cloak and dagger operation called the International Republican Institute (IRI). Another article about the well-named International Republican Institute, a govt-funded operation closely connected with covert operations, which McCain has chaired for 15 years. This article sheds new light by focusing on IRI's links with Iraq, Big Oil, and military-industrial behemoths like Lockheed Martin. It's a partial article in many respects; just reading this you can't know what IRI has done, even in Iraq. One thing does strike home: "McOld" and "McNew" may not be as different as some suggest.
