I like this story because it gives the reader a different perspective of our elections. It truly shows that selecting the right president for us also affects the rest of the world too.

The African American senator from Chicago declared himself the winner of the Democratic primary campaign last week.

I would have written: Obama was declared the Democratic Primary last week.
