This is just disgusting. I do not want McCain to be president: I am a big Obama supporter. But I feel like I need to take a shower after reading this. This is a poorly sourced article, there is no way for anyone to know what was really going on in that marriage, it has no relevance to the campaign, and it's no one's business. McCain spent five and a half years being tortured in a North Vietnamese prison camp. The physical injuries he suffered were probably nothing compared to the emotional and psychological ones. If he was irresponsible in his personal relationships in the immediate aftermath, I'm not one bit surprised. Besides, he has said he takes full responsibility for the failure of the marriage. I wonder how many of you people who liked this article are capable of admitting the mistakes you made in past relationships. When you support this kind of fake journalism, you are supporting the same corrupt system that made an issue out of Lewinsky and Wright. Shame on you.
Not only are anonymous sources used throughout, but we don’t even know how many there are. “Friends said,” “acquaintances said,” “some said.” Who the hell are these people, and why should we believe they know anything about John and Carol’s marriage?
