His welcome in Florida was not what he expected. He had to face up to some of his past. The man talks from both sides of his orifice. Floridians are very temperamental about their environment even though the developers get away with murder. I don't actually think he voted wrong but it is fun to see him squirm. I am personally loving every word that makes these guys squirm. It has been almost 8 years of pure torture.

The writer presented the story in an objective way and appears to take great pains not to provide his own opinions. That being said, there is no question that McCain's positions on hurricane insurance is reflective of him being in the pockets of the insurance industry and is detrimental to Florida's suffering residence. His position on the everglades ins indicative of him being owned by large developers who see the everglades as development properties and can't wait to get their sticky hands on it. The writer should have pursued these facts and provided evidence, of which there is no shortage, to show that these are true.

It is a good overview of McCain's opposition to quite a few projects/bills which would benefit Floridians if there were a disaster. McCain opposes quite a few of the proposals, because he calls them pork projects and not necessary.

I hope the Democratic party highlights exchanges like the one in this artical to demonstrate where Mr. McCains priorites lie. Too expensive is the only word to sum up his passion - Iraq.
