RNC notes hypocrisy on Obama pledge

On Thursday, Obama announced that the Democratic National Committee -- as his campaign does -- would no longer accept financial contributions from federal lobbyists.

"We will not take a dime from Washington lobbyists or special interest PACs," he said. "We're going to change how Washington works. They will not fund my party. They will not run our White House."

Balanced fair story except for the title. It could have been called RNC Defends McCain's ties to Lobbyist. Obama indicating that he will no longer accept financial contributions from federal lobbyists is an interesting important story.

The story mentions where the Democrats accept contributions from lobbyists, but it basically buys the RNC criticism of Obama without pointing out that he doesn't control the Democratic Senate or House campaign committees. Nor does it say anything about the large number of lobbyists who work for McCain.
