This is not really a work of journalism, but a political speech by John McCain, at the start of the general election campaign. But it provides important evidence about the candidate and his platform. The speech itself is pretty lame, largely partisan in nature, and more often than not supported by McCain's own speculations, rather than factual evidence. No sourcing to speak of, and not very informative. Presentationally, it doesn't hold a candle compared to Obama's on the same night. McCain's lame slogans like 'this is not change we can believe in' fail to shore up a rather pathetic performance. Simply a summary rehash of McCain's speech. Might be interesting to some who didn't know about the speech, but fell far short of a satisfactory analysis.
