Both John McCain and Barack Obama say they aren't your typical politicians. In an election year in which an overwhelming majority of voters say the country is heading in the wrong direction and say that they want big changes in government policies, it's crucial that the candidates clearly show their differences on the things that matter. It is fair and moderately interesting, but it isn't challenging or original. Many of the author's points are mind numbingly obvious. It might be useful for someone who wants a primer on the major election issues, but it won't be anything new for anyone who follows this stuff regularly.
