Fear was no excuse to condone torture

Clearly points out the ineffectiveness of the techniques used.

If you can ignore the moral repugnance of applying torture and the horrible psychological effect on the torturer, consider the well documented ineffectiveness of the technique and the creation of enough new terrorists to keep the military occupied far into the future (could this be why they did it).
