Q&A: Florida and Michigan Delegates

On Saturday, the Rules and Bylaws Committee of the Democratic National Committee is set to consider proposals about Florida and Michigan.

The D.N.C.'s legal team says that by their reading of the rules, the panel has the authority to reinstate 50 percent of the states' delegate strength, either by including half the delegations or by seating the full delegations but giving them only half a vote. I don't normally like reading this type of Q&A format. But here it works really well. The "interviewer" asks some really relevant questions, and the answers are very informative. Because I know somebody who sits on the DNC rules committee, I got a chance to read the legal opinion a few days ago and am quite familiar with the issue. So I also think they've represented it all quite accurately. The only question they didn't ask or answer is why the Clinton campaign is doing all this. Bragging rights?
