Reasonably straightforward account of President Obama's call for a change in the Israeli government's blockade of Gaza, but it fails to present any information about the conditions in Gaza or the reasons for the international relief effort to provide humanitarian aid.

American media do a miserable job of reporting accurate information about Gaza and the Occupied Territories. The facts are highly unpopular in our political and social narrative. This presents a difficult conundrum: differentiating "news" from "propaganda," and focusing on demonstrable facts. This news article is moderately good journalism. The author did minimal research, just reprinted talking points. The important fact that the blockade is a joint Egyptian-Israeli effort was left out. The generally good living conditions in Gaza also were ignored by the author. Thus this piece gets a poor rating for context and for enterprising.
