The story makes good point of Bush's empty "honoring" of veterans and at the same time failing to fund veterans benefits. I have several other problems with memorial day; we honor those who have fought for the US in military conflicts and died, but we do not have similar honors for those who have spent their lives in quest of peace and conflict resolution to avoid wars.
