Whatever their disagreements on policy, United States senators, even in today's hyperpolitical climate, are reluctant to impugn one another's motives or integrity.

This is a balanced article based on research and an interview with McCain. While the author pretty clearly has a view that the war in Iraq will not become popular or "won", he deals with McCain's view in a fair and respectuful manner, never questioning his sincerity or motives.
