Using a host of external sources and several interviews, this lengthy article offers a more comprehensive point of view on a political candidate that we are usually given. McCain comes away as a more complex man than most media portraits. And it's hard to know whether the author's judgments about McCain's motivation are accurate or not. I can say they're not really complete as the writer hints at possible interpretations for McCain's stances, without really coming down on one side or another.
