Fighting Subsides in Lebanon

After five days of fighting, Lebanon is largely quiet Monday. The streets of Beirut, which have been the focus of bloody sectarian clashes between Sunnis and Shiites, have been largely deserted. The violence has done nothing to resolve Lebanon's long-running political crisis. Full Story »

Good basic reporting from Lebanon. The reporter relies extensively on anonymous sources for substantiation in the form of "experts report", "people here believe", "some suggest" etc. This short piece appears to do a good job of providing an overview of the current situation in Lebanon but provides scant detail. Given the time constraints (running time 2:16 minutes) one could expect little more.
