McCain, Huckabee and the Evangelicals

An element of the Christian community is not reconciled to McCain's candidacy but instead regards the prospective presidency of Barack Obama in the nature of a Biblical plague visited upon a sinful people. These militants look at former Baptist preacher Huckabee as "God's candidate" running for president in 2012. Lots of blue sky here, which make this a "SO?" article from Cheney's favorite spy-thriller author. Frankly, the entire movement of the religious right must now share in, as well as be judged by, the utter failure of the ultra conservative heavy-handed administration run by Cheney and Bush--one of the worst in America's history. Obviouly it's time right-wing religionists assume their rightful place in politics: namely that of an overly vocal, minuscule minority which should be ignored.
