The one major item missing is any quotes from members of Congress on there view although it is stated that Congress let stand the Marriage act that allowed other states marriages to be valid in DC.

It appears that the gay community has a strong chance to win on gay marriage in the District, if Congress doesn't act to oppose and if congress act then President Obama is going to be in one very hot seat as his track record is poor at best vs election statements.
