This is an attempt by an author with a vested interest to defend her investment in her candidate. There is a difference between quitting and facing reality and this author ought to know better. She chooses to frame her argument in a sports analogy that is contrived and transparent. Hilary Clinton needs to demonstrate dignity and class by facing the inevitable. To continue on, exhorting patriarchal models such as "quitters never win" and dragging the situation out to a more dismal ending serves no one. This article is worth reading only to reveal the mindset of the author.
