Obama Needs a History Lesson

In defending his stated intent to meet with America's enemies without preconditions, Sen. Obama said: "I trust the American people to understand that it is not weakness, but wisdom to talk not just to our friends, but to our enemies, like Roosevelt did, and Kennedy did, and Truman did."

The author makes the point that Obama was mostly mistaken that previous presidnets have been willing to speak to our enemies. I believe that it is a hopeful sign that Obama is willing to not be a frightened little yapping dog like our current President who is too frightened to speak to anyone but his chosen friends.
