Obama Needs a History Lesson

In defending his stated intent to meet with America's enemies without preconditions, Sen. Obama said: "I trust the American people to understand that it is not weakness, but wisdom to talk not just to our friends, but to our enemies, like Roosevelt did, and Kennedy did, and Truman did."

The author catches Obama in stretching history to claim FDR as a precident for talking with hostile leaders, but his attack on the ascription does not serve to validate his criticism of the policy in this current age of global weapons of mass destruction. Basically a misleading and counterproductive opinion piece.
