Ex-President Clinton's loans to his wife's presidential campaign have raised questions about the sources and use of his income.

Hillary Clinton's decision to lend her presidential campaign $6.4 million from assets she holds jointly with her husband is rekindling questions about millions of dollars that Bill Clinton has been paid for speeches and other work since he left the White House.

A problematic piece that appears to cherry pick Clinton's speaking clients to suggest influence without proving influence is being bought. I felt it unfairly targeted the Clintons.

This article is misleading, particularly with respect to formatting. The article argues former President Clinton's speaking arrangements are tantamount to default lobbying solicitation. Only in the article's last sentence, describing Bill Clinton's speaking arrangements at Gold Service International, does the reporter reveal that speaking funds have had zero impact on Hillary Clinton's policy vis a vis the free trade agreement.

The article casts a good spotlight on campaign finance trickery by the Clinton collective, but makes no note of any parallels in the Obama drive for the White House. More balance, a less obviously anti-Clinton view would strengthen the article, as would a more depth on Cindy McCain's history.
