The city where I live is 60+% black with many blacks in government and leadership positions, yet it seems the power brokers are mainly white men. We have a high percentage of people living in poverty, underemployed, undereducated. The heritage of prejudice - race, gender, and class; like me and not like me - is part of the problem. These studies provide support in finding the origins and seeking resolutions.

I love this story. most people don't realize the depth of their own prejudice. as a mississippian i know that better than most. we are the problem. it's not them. the difference between a mississippi racist and a california racist is that mississippi racists don't lie. i love the scientific verification of this kind of thing as it arises.

Quite a good article. The examples given agree with what is so obvious from simple observation, that Causians are extremely prejudiced and racist. Non-pale skined people and non-Christians rightly perceive the dangerously negative attitudes that are certainly hurtful and even life threatening, not to mention causing disadvantages in just living live in US society.

Great story. Pity it doesn't cover prujudices of different kinds. Seems to concentrate on black-white conflicts. Worth studying closely though. In stories of this kind detailed references would be useful.
