Night lands Clinton closer to oblivion

Hillary Clinton is one day and two important primaries closer to oblivion. Her hairbreadth victory here in Indiana coupled with her double-digit defeat in North Carolina on the last big night of the 2008 primary season provided a dreams-deferred, delegate-deficit downturn in her already dispiriting fortunes. Shapiro gives a fairly thoughtful analysis closely in the wake of the Indiana/North Carolina primaries about the impact on both Democratic campaigns. While the smoke hasn't cleared yet, he discusses the "writing on the wall" by describing the words of the candidates and their surrogates, the demographics of the voters, and the dynamics of issues and innuendo that surfaced over the last few weeks.
