This is an odd article on the none issue of Obama's minister. The only people making an issue of what Rev.Wright said are far right wing raciallly bigoted talk show hosts and this was not mentioned. A poll was mentioned stating that the question had to do with believing that Obama agrees with Wright's statements, but it was worded as anti-American. It is not anti-American to say that the government was involved in the 9-11 event or that there may eb deliberate non-action in helping prevent HIV AIDS in minority communities. The article is obviously biased from a right wing racist viewpoint.

The statements from Michelle add to the background this story provides. The bad aspect is it continues the focus on guilt by association slime tactics as opposed to important issues.

hard to separate the content from the article itself here because the media itself is so much a part of the context for this issue, as seen in the poll results about sen. obama's reaction to rev. wright's remarks in his provocative timing. the author does lay out what appears to be sen. obama's point of view, which sounds reasonable. there's nothing here regarding sen. clinton's campaign as seen by the public or in the press. a few citizens' differing points of view about sen. obama are included.

The author of this opinion piece misses the point. Senator Obama is the least experienced major party candidate in decades (far, far less than even Carter or Goldwater). He has no legislative or executive accomplishments on which to judge him. How he handles the rough and tumble fo the campaign is all there is on which to judge his capability to be President. How he handles his associations with people like Rezko (about to plead guilty), Wright, and Ayers and Dorne are thus the key elements of his qualifications, since there is nothing else to evaluate.

Leave it to a British news source to lay out the dirty laundry of the US corporate press to inform its readers about the perfidy of the American media. The US author candidly spells out a story of frustation engendered by a candidate being hounded endlessly by the US MS creating and promoting a fake furor. It would be interesting to see if this piece or something expressing the same sentiments has ever appeared in any local news source in North Carolina. What the British may not realize, furthermore, is that the hypocritical US corporate media are also totally ignoring the fact that Senator McCain has deliberately chosen to pander to the Christian Right by embracing two fanatical "reverends" (Hagee and Parsley) who have been far ... This article has numerous quotes from first hand sources and I think the author must have had first hand knowledge of many if not all of the quotes. At least, that is how the author portrays this report. There is quite a few statistics and data presented, as well as quotes inside and outside of Obama's campaign. I think this story is well written, organized, and interesting.
