I liked several things about this story. It was well written and actually humorous. I think it's OK to be a little light hearted about a topic such as this because let's face it, while obnoxious, the whole thing is kind of funny. The antics witnessed at last night's speech were ridiculous and reminded me of a more immature parliament. What's next, senators leaping across desks and throwing punches like a school yard brawl? A lot of the behavior last night was just plain silly and we have to laugh at these ridiculous men. I especially liked the description of Michelle Obama's "drawn-out 'damn' at the scene unfolding before her." Dingell's quote was also very funny: "Well, you've got to understand: They're Republicans. They're just doing what comes natural." But this brings me to what I didn't like about the article: It was very one sided. The only quote from a Republican is Wilson apologizing. I personally would like to hear what some Republicans had to say either in respond to their party-mates' behavior or in defense of their own bad behavior last night. The fact that the reporter did not appear to interview any Republicans makes me, the reader, think he probably has a bias and is likely liberal, or at least supports the president's health care bill. Regardless of my personal views, I don't like this feeling. More importantly, a Republican voice would really add dimension to coverage of this situation.
