Sound opinion based on good studies and information from reputable agencies. Great perspective on the health debate AND the education debate. Could have added information about the data on improved school performance when school food is improved.

This is an interesting take on health problems which I, at least, haven't seen before. And it forecasts an interesting future political battle. Agricultural policy has been another political 'third rail' for many years now - this should be fun to watch.

And agricultural policy makes most peoples' eyes glaze over. Among problems not noted in the article: agribusiness is making a lot of land unusable, and has the potential for putting the US in a position where a few corporations own and badly exploit most of the good agricultural land.

The author is one of the most respected journalists on issue concerning our food distribution system. He was the main spokesman on the movie Food Inc. He wrote the book "In Search of Food".

Finally we can address the cause of so much unhealthy behavior in the USA.
