Karl Rove: My Advice for Barack Obama - Newsweek Politics: Campaign 2008 - Newsweek.com

Four months ago, you took the political world by storm in Iowa. The media were agog. They called your words "gorgeous," your victory "a message to the world." You "made history" and Americans could "look at ourselves with pride" in "a moment to marvel."

Droplets of wisdom from Karl Rove? At first blush this missive seems reasonable, if you forget who is doing the writing. Rove only is trying to add credibility to the manic right wing spin-tone of the day. He sees a potential weakness and rushes to exploit and expand the idea of it by appearing helpful. I did get a cynics chuckle out of adviso number 3- work across party lines---was that advice Karl Rove gave to Bush? What? Did Bush just ignore him on that one? Maybe Karl just thought of that one- now that Repubs are in the minority again. And Mr. Rove puts the seed of "weary, prickly and distracted" out there, hopeful a few readers will lodge that some where between their ears-maybe if they hear it enough. I wonder if that quiplet will show up on FOX in the near future? Let's see? Who else do we know that can be described as weary, prickly and distracted??? Our own current President, that's who. Karl Rove committed treason against this country and just because Mr. Bush says it 's OK does not make it OK. If this really were a nation of laws Karl Rove would be in prison.
