Obama Calls Bloggers Liars for Accurately Reporting His Words

This is an absolutely blatant attempt to rewrite history by Barack Obama, documented at ABC News Political Punch. First, I honestly don't care much whether a person wears a flag pin, and you can certainly be a patriot without wearing a badge proclaiming it. Full Story »

Unfair and unreasonable opinion piece about Obama's comments on why he doesn't wear flag pins. The author claims that Obama is trying to 'rewrite history' by citing two different reasons for not wearing pins. I see no evidence of that being the case, and this partisan piece appears to merely try to discredit a candidate on a relatively unimportant issue, by distorting the facts to make an unnecessary point. Could we get the public discourse back on track, so we can address substantive issues instead?

This flag pin nonsense exemplifies the mindless flagwaving and benighted attempts to enforce political orthodoxy that seems to blind so many boneheads. On top of it, this author tries to read into a statement a slant that is not in the statement. Barf.

This short opinion piece has considerable merit, as the author has done careful research to make his point. The exact wording used by Senator Obama is brought up by the author, who is well known for his thorough research and the accuracy of his pieces.
