This story is an example of quality journalism. Why? Journalists have an obligation to be unbiased in their writing regardless of what they truly feel. The writer of this article may very well be very liberal or on the other hand extremely conservative, but one could not tell his view in his writing. He gave all sides of the argument for and against Obama’s healthcare plan. He stated the options, what the plan would mean for individuals who will be affected, and views about it from each side of the spectrum. The article contained sources that can be seen as trustworthy and he gave the facts. I do believe that the article did not contain any positive aspects of the Obama Plan. Most the things mentioned were pertaining to people that would loose money by the bill being passed. Also, I felt as though the visual for the article was a little one-sided. It is a picture of a crowd of people who obviously do not agree with the health care plan. Looking at this picture of a crown “booing”, one would think that supporters of this plan do not exist. Other than that, I thought the article was well rounded.
