This is quality journalism because it explores what we all take for granted, our freedom. What I thought was interesting was how Michaelson draws you in. He entices you with what appears to celebrity gossip. However, he merely uses the American Idol contestant, Adam Lambert as a jumping off point for his central argument. That is a clever way to reel in readers of all ages. A majority of readers watch television and have most likely heard Lamberts quote about Burning Man. Therefore, it is quality journalism done with style. You are drawn in by the lighthearted opening and before you realize it are nodding to yourself agreeing with Michealson.I personally have gained a new perspective on my daily thoughts and routine. Isn't that was all jouranlist strive for? Isn't that was journalism is all about?
