While based on "opinion" it grounds itself on interaction with likely central players or those quite familiar with them I believe. It resolates with what I know, for example about Sen. Grassley, and have heard from a number of sources about Sen. Snowe.

The country, all of us, gave G.W. Bush his war in Iraq because we thought he had won the election. We will give the new president his war also -in health care. The marginalized conservatives will not be able to stop this. President Obama feels he must pursue Afganistan to avoid a coup of the new confederacy and . unfortunately, he may be right.
