Clinton Wins Big in Pennsylvania, Fights On

On the surface, this is very bad news, indeed, for Obama. He's comparatively weak with the very groups he'll most need in November. Then again, he's currently running against another left-of-center Democrat. That won't we the case in the Fall. For all of the trepidation movement Conservatives feel about McCain, he's well to the right of both Clinton and Obama on the issues that matter to independents. Full Story »

I like Joyner's writing and his reasonable voice. This post looks at the media postmortem regarding demographics and the impact of negativity, the accuracy of predictions and what this might mean in future primaries and in the general election. It quotes from a variety of sources and raises an interesting point, quoted above. . about the "issues that matter to independents." Joyner thinks Clinton deserves more credit for her win. "This is where Clinton deserves, but likely will not get, a lot of credit. Both candidates had six weeks to make their case in Pennsylvania and essentially unlimited money with which to do it. I'm not a fan of this sort of cut-and-paste journalism. It allows the scrapbooker to select portions out of context that support their own bias, and may not actually represent the article they pulled them from. Outside of this bias, it adds little new to the discussion.
