It's not hard to tell how the Independent feels about the case, but that doesn't hurt the quality of the story for me. Good sourcing, background, and plenty of space given to explain Citizens United's argument.

If a majority of the court agrees to reverse those precedents, experts say the court could open federal campaigns to a flood of corporate funding, radically altering American politics and the nature of electoral democracy for the foreseeable future.
