Useful update on the political crisis in Zimbabwe, with a focus on economic injustice and the unfair distribution of farming land in that country, where whites (about 1% of the population) used to own nearly 70% of the land. Only two sources are quoted: a rambling speech by president Mugabe, manipulating anti-colonial sentiment to stay in power, and a much longer and thoughtful phone interview with Adam Habib, a political analyst and professor at the University of Johannesburg. Overall, this is an informative report on how current economic policies are polarizing society and paving the way for a serious political crisis in Zimbabwe.
